Mission
It took Galileo, Boyle, and Newton to undo the grip held by God and Aristotle on physical and chemical science. This had to do with providing plausible accounts for motion and materials to replace Aristotelean dogma. But biology survived the revolutions of the 17th century and remains in the realm of God and Darwin. This, because no one has provided a theory of how biology works. Now biomechanics has edged out natural selection as the most plausible system of evolution, suggesting many mechanically-driven possibilities, but no actual working blueprints for the body.
If you have a cell, this theory tells you how you can assemble a body.
